Het aftellen is begonnen!
Nog 18 dagen en 'k heb het DRUK!!
Cadeautjes kopen, uitgaan, alles voorbereiden voor mijn laatste dagje school, dankuwel-pannekoeken maken voor de familie, foto's maken a ful!
Kijk er wel naar uit om naar huis te gaan, maar 'k ga het hier wel missen, de mensen vooral.
Hun unieke dialect, de rustige levensstijl, de mooie omgeving,...
Het is zeker geen gemakkelijk jaar geweest, maar zoals ze zeggen:
No es que se gana y se pierde, pero se gana y se aprende!
En 't kan niet juister zijn! Ik heb door dit jaar absoluut niks verloren, alleen maar bijgeleerd, en dat is't belangrijkste.
En natuurlijk ook heel veel 'gewonnen': een tweede plaatsje in de wereld, een nieuwe wereldtaal geleerd, een tweede familie en heel veel vrienden leren kennen.
Ik ben mama en papa eindeloos dankbaar dat ze mij deze kans hebben willen geven, en ik ben Paraguay eindeloos dankbaar voor alles wat het mij geleerd heeft.
Dus met deze neem ik stilaan afscheid van het land dat ik een jaar lang mijn thuis heb mogen noemen, een land dat ik nooit ga vergeten!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI can't believe that one whole year has already passed. ^^ I can clearly remember the days when you were overflown with excitement about spending a whole year abroad, and now the final grains of sand are bring dropped form the hourglass.
I must admit that during some occasions I thought that you weren't going to make it. When Bella left Paraguay and when those things happened in Caaguazú, I thought that you would become frustrated and let that feeling overcome your determination of carrying on your experience.
I was wrong. :)
You've shown how much of a woman you've become by going through the hardships of living in the midst of a different country, with different language, culture, values and people, without giving up on the challenge you've submitted your own self to in order to prove to yourself you could make it. And you have succeeded. :)
I've no doubt in saying that what you've gone through in Paraguay was worth it, the unpleasant experiences just as much as the pleasant ones. No es que se gana y se pierde, pero se gana y se aprende. :) Isn't that so? I well know that you've got plenty life learning material throughout the time you've spent there - probably more than one year in an european University would teach you. ^^ - and that's what really matters.
Therefore, it's my pleasure to give you my sincere congratulations. Thank you for developing interest in getting to know countries that most people are reckless towards, and more than that: for actually living amongst these people. It was an honor to have you in South America, and I hope you'll be able to return here again. :) I'm sure the paraguayans feel the same way.
You're a unique woman and I'm proud of being your friend. ^^ I'm deeply sorry for not being able to visit you during the time you've spent here. :( But I promise that visiting you in Belgium is going to be the first thing I'm going to do when I start working. :3 And hopefully that will allow me to meet Karin, la dulce gatita Sushi and the rest of your family, along with our beloved Belgium. ^^
